Warsaw, Poland (Associated Press) The Polish artist’s visa application bore a copy of a painted self-portrait, but the U.S. officials who approved it never caught on. Once in New York, Rafal Bujnowski spent some of his time taking private flight lessons, guiding a small aircraft 1,000 feet above the Hudson River with skyscrapers on the horizon. But Bujnowski, who needed the visa to travel to the United States earlier this year, claims his ruse was not meant as a political statement about security in the age of terrorism. The 30-year-old said he just wanted an honest review of his painting.
